How fast is Sprint’s HTC Evo 4G phone?

Consumer Reports reviews the speed of the HTC Evo 4G phone in Philadelphia, PA.  Important factors for phone users are speed, access to apps and information, the ability to take pictures, streaming video, and overall ease of use.

Mike Gikas shares how the Evo 4G offers streaming video while running other apps and features on the phone.  During the demonstration, he compares the Evo to another phone in the Sprint fleet called the HTC Hero 3G phone.  His benchmarks for comparison are the phone display size, download speed, text display features, and camera features.

Overall, the Evo has quite a few applicable features and great speed that the mobile audience loves.  However, it still had difficulty displaying streaming content from which is an indicator the integration of mobile, streaming video, and web content technologies is still a work in progress.
